New History Warfare Vol 3: To See More Light by Colin Stetson reviews | Any Decent Music
My first post on Colin Stetson, in 2011, stated my case. This latest in the New History Warfare series is simply affirmation of that already proven. Since he is joined on several numbers by Justin Vernon, with whom he tours as a member of Bon Iver, there is reason to believe Colin Stetson, genius of the experimental, will become more widely known. Hearing Vernon sing metal on "Brute" is alone worth the price of admission, but there is never any doubt that Stetson is in full control from first note to last.
