Planningtorock Spells a Single Letter

Planningtorock is musician and visual artist Janine Rostron, of Manchester, who wears dark theatrical electronica like a costume. The project name put me off, not because I think one should not make plans to rock, but I have low expectations for those who feel the need to express such an intention. But in this case she draws on many influences to make a solid sound all her own, and really is playing a joke, perhaps several at the same time, so it works out. These are all tunes from her album W.
