Top 10 Most Influential Jazz Saxophonists | Top 10 Lists | TopTenz.net

Second? The greatest soul in all of Jazz comes in #2? At least they picked the only possible sax player who could even be considered to top my main man, John Coltrane. It is after-all a "most influential" list,  to which Parker can legitimately lay claim since he virtually invented bebop. If his talent had a Coltrane work ethic to go with it then we could fly at the speed of light and Sun Ra may have made it back to Saturn for his final concert. But still it stings for sentimental reasons.  I'd have to move Adderly and Rollins up a few notches but collectively the list is fair enough.
