A Late Post: Esben and the Witch Shout Out with Violet Cries

This post is long overdue, mostly because it's late. My story is that delay is essential to appreciating the witch-based idioms. Dark and haunting is the new 30. Last year Esben and the Witch made many watch lists for 2011, and now we have the pleasure of listening to that for which we watched.

"Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and howlet's wing,--
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble."
Macbeth (IV, i, 14-15)
