Pitchfork: Album Reviews: Fang Island: Fang Island 8.3/10.0 and "Best New Music Designation"
MILES OF TRANE: YES. No one other than Pitchfork seems to be talking up this band's second album, but it really deserves a listen. I'm sure the reviews will trickle in soon but there's no need to wait. Every note you can find on them mentions the band self-describing themselves as "everyone high-fiving everyone" so expect some joyous sounds. But it's not disgusting in the slightest, and despite my preference for depressing gloom, their fun-focused sound makes me feel good. And not in a bad way.
