When I saw Pitchfork gave it a 5.0 I emailed O'Barr with a simple "OUCH!" He replied that reviews from other sites were more upbeat. I waited with some concern, afraid of what a listen might reveal. What in the world was I waiting for? They virtually invented a genre, they have nuanced this released for seven years, they backed up and regrouped, and O'Barr is friends with the next door neighbor of Daddy G -- there was nothing to fear all along. The fact that Metacritic aggregates over 25 reviews tells you how important this release is. Join the party.
